Poker Sites that Accept Certified Checks
One of the options when depositing at an online poker room is the certified check option. While not all online poker sites accept Certified Checks, some poker sites do. In addition to certified checks, there are other checking options when depositing at a poker site. For instance, a bank draft or even a personal check will be fine for depositing at these online poker sites, however you will have to wait quite a while for the check to clear before the poker room credits your account. At least with a certified check, you account will be credited as soon as the poker site receives payment because the funds are guaranteed by the issuing bank.
Usually, the poker sites will not charge a fee for this option but your financial institution probably will charge a fee. This option is not highly recommended if you have other options due to the length of time required for the funds to clear as well as the hefty fees potentially charged by your bank. If at all possible, use Neteller or a Credit Card (Visa / MC) as a deposit option, instead.
